Marian Penner Bancroft

MARIAN PENNER BANCROFT is a Vancouver artist grateful to live on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ peoples. Her work addresses issues of history, landscape, and the construction of the imagination using photography, text, video, sculpture and sound. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and was the recipient of the 2012 Audain Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Visual Arts.
