Lloyd Burritt

Lloyd Burritt received his M.Mus from UBC while studying with Jean Coulthard and Cortland Hultberg. On fellowship with the Royal College of Music (London) he studied with Gordon Jacob and Herbert Howells and at the Berkshire Music Center (Tanglewood, USA) with Leonard Bernstein and Eric Leinsdorf. Lloyd has composed in a wide variety of musical idioms, producing electronic music, numerous choral and orchestral works performed by eminent orchestras in North America and Europe and by major ensembles in Canada, the USA, Britain, and Sweden. Lloyd is an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre.
