As part of our fall programming, 2020 Writer-in-Residence Liz Howard will facilitate the online writing workshop, “Strange Nature.” The workshop proposes a “two-eyed” look at ecological models, considering the body and the urban environment alongside the so-called natural environment, to offer strategies for writing with and through these troubled ecologies.

As a lifelong learner I am committed to a continual practice of “two-eyed seeing” in which traditional knowledge is considered alongside findings from Western science. — Liz Howard, in conversation with Room Magazine
