Khashayar Mohammadi Reading at our Issue 3.44 Launch

Khashayar Mohammadi reads “The Body in 3 Utterances,” featured in Issue 3.44 (Summer, 2021), as well as “My City The City,” a poem selected as the winner of the 2021 Vallum Poetry Prize at our Issue 3.44 virtual launch.

Khashayar Mohammadi is a queer, Iranian born, Toronto-based poet, writer and translator. He is the author of poetry Chapbooks Moe’s Skin (ZED press, 2018), Dear Kestrel (knife | fork | book 2019), Solitude is an Acrobatic Act and The OceanDweller (both above/ground press, 2020). His debut poetry collection, Me, You, Then Snow is out with Gordon Hill Press.

This reading was recorded on September 9th, 2021 at our virtual issue launch. Issue 3.44 (Summer, 2021) invites the reader to reposition themselves within both new and existing works of art and writing, prompting shifts in how we perceive and the worldview that flows from that perception.  Purchase the issue here.
