yamagushiku shō

yamagushiku shō’s creative practice is grounded in diasporic shimanchu islander consciousness. His grandmother’s parents (⼭城) migrated to Tovaangar (Los Angeles) from Taminato, a village in northern Okinawa's Yanbaru rainforest. His grandfather’s parents (⽥中) emigrated from Buzen Shoe, Fukuoka to Lingít Aaní (Juneau, Alaska). Currently shō lives on lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Territory.
