Tajliya Jamal
After recently finishing a curatorial internship at The Evergreen Cultural Centre, Tajliya Jamal is very excited to join The Capilano Review team as Visual Art Coordinator & Archive Intern, and to learn more about the publication and how poetry and visual arts intersect.
Jamal works with a variety of mediums including printmaking, writing, book media, and animation. Many of her works respond to her experiences as a queer, mixed-race woman; navigating in-between spaces, observing learned perceptions of ourselves and others, and how individual realities can be made (in)visible.
