SINA QUEYRAS is part of a long line of settlers, born to a first-generation Icelandic-Canadian mother and a French immigrant father, on land belonging to the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation. They grew up on the road, moving through land belonging to the Anishinaabeg, Ininew, Oji-Cree, Dene, Dakota (Winnipeg), Kootenai (Kaslo), and the Ts’msyen (Tsimshian) territory of the Kitsumkalum and Kitselas (Terrace), among other places. They have also lived and studied on land belonging to the Coast Salish, Musqueam, Semiahmoo (Vancouver, Surrey) Snuneymuxw, Quw’utsun and Tla’Amin (Vancouver Island), Anishnaabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat First Nations (Toronto), Lenape (Brooklyn), Lenni-Lenape (New Jersey) and Lenape (Philadelphia). Currently they live in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal).
