shō yamagushiku’s work is grounded in a diasporic consciousness. He writes from the homelands of the ləkw̓ əŋən and W̱ SÁNEĆ peoples (Victoria, BC). His first poetry collection, shima (McClelland & Stewart, 2024), reflects ancestors, violence, and tradition.
