Nadya Isabella (b. Jakarta, Indonesia) is currently based in Montreal, Quebec. Alternating between the mundane and fantasy, Isabella’s paintings portray scenes from familiar surroundings. Painting from observation and fantasies taking place in the everyday, Isabella focuses on the image as a vehicle of storytelling, blurring the lines between fiction and nonfiction.
