Jessica Jang is a Chinese-Canadian artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, and
sculpture. She received a BFA from Emily Carr University, attended Chelsea College of
Art in London, UK, holds a BEd from the University of British Columbia, and an MFA
from the University of Guelph. Jang has exhibited in Canada and abroad including shows
at Xpace Cultural Centre, Erin Stump, YACTAC gallery, Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese
Garden, the Terrace Annual, and the Hackney Wicked Arts Festival. Her work as an artist-
educator includes projects for the City of Guelph, CulturArt Exchange in Bogotá, Colombia,
Youth Collaborative for Chinatown, the Vancouver Biennale, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and
221A Artist-Run Centre. She is currently based in Toronto, Ontario.
