Gloriah Amondi

Gloriah Amondi is a writer, journalist, and trained lawyer from Kenya currently enrolled in the Creative Writing graduate program at Concordia University. She has published work in Dooneys’ Café, Ibua Journal, Lolwe, and Kalahari, and is the winner of the 2023 International Literary Seminars Fiction Contest and a 2024 Minority Africa Writers’ Fellow. She’s also a recipient of the 2025 David Mckeen Award for Creative Writing. She’s the founder of “East Africa Write Now: Writers in Conversation,” in which she hosts literary conversations between East African and foreign writers to introduce the less known East African literature to readers abroad.
