CAROLYN DOUCETTE is an American photography, video and new media artist with a BFA from the University of Victoria. Her work has shown and screened at art galleries and film festivals in the US, Canada and Europe. Her work and research concerns the connection between humans and nature, the ecological implications of a nature/culture duality in Western thought paradigms, and the natural world vs. the "sublime" or "picturesque" landscape. She lives in Oracle, AZ and is currently working on a series of digitally altered photographs symbolizing the human presence in nature and our effect on the natural world.
