Action, Reciprocity, Transformation (A.R.T.) & Justice

Action, Reciprocity, Transformation (A.R.T.) & Justice is founded in the belief that art and community building can help build a better world. Led by Helen Brown and Kelsey Timler and based out of the University of British Columbia’s School of Nursing, A.R.T. & Justice uses participatory research and arts-based methodologies to support the holistic health and well-being of artists in prison through creativity, storytelling, and collective care, while also working to share the voice and vision of people in prison with the wider community.
