TED BYRNE bought his first copy of Genève in The Fifth Kingdom Bookshop on Harbord Street, over forty years ago. The book, beautifully made by Coach House Press, cost him $3.00, or about two hours wages, and retrospectively he finds considerable circumstantial evidence of having read it at the time.
