Lisa Arrastía

LISA ARRASTIA has been teaching and leading creative educational programs in independent and public schools for fifteen years. Her work with youth is the focus of a 1999 Emmy-nominated public television documentary, Making the Grade. Her essay, "Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?" was included in Pearl Kane's The Colours of Excellence (Teacher's College Press, 2003) and most recently, "Killing the Dark Bodies: Execution as Market Sustainability & State Redemption" was published by Monthly Review Zine. She is currently a PhD student in American Studies at the University of Minnesota.
