Calgary born-and-bred poet JILL HARTMAN's writing has appeared in Queen Street Quarterly, filling Station, endnote, andDIAGRAM, in the anthologies Post-Prairie (Talonbooks, 2005) and Shift & Switch (Mercury, 2005), and in chapbooks fromMODL Press, housepress, Olive Press, and her own chapbook series, semi-precious press. Her first book of poetry, A Painted Elephant, (Coach House, 2003) was shortlisted for both the Stephansson and Lampert Awards, and along with her infamous-in-Calgary TWAT Team material, was featured on the program Heart of a Poet, BOOK TV, in the fall of 2005.
